Who is Anastius?

Why was anastius given the nickname “The two-eyed”?
Because of his mismatched eyes.
Who is Peroz?
The son of yezdegerd II who ruled Persia for 27 years, succeeded by his son.
What was peroz doing the most during his reign?
He was fighting the hephthalates then killed by the invaders in 484.
Who is Mazdak?
A Persian prophet that led a heretical cult.
What was the teachings of the heretical cult that Mazdak led?
-Ultimate power in the universe was distant and uninvolved deity.
-Two lesser but equal divine powers, good and evil struggled over the universe .
-Making good in the universe was to make all men equal.
What was the purpose of the Nevarsek treaty?
It was granted Armenia independence from Persia.
Who is Kavadh?
A Persian emperor that reformed the system to reduce the nobles powers and increase the kings authority however the nobles to remove him and replace him with his brother Zamasb.
Who is Justin?
The commander of the imperial guard became emperor after Anastasius died. he told his nephew Justinian as council, they both supported the blues.
Describe the difficulties Persia faced during Peroz’s 27 year reign.
A famine, locusts, earthquakes, plague, and a solar eclipse struck, war followed and peroz was killed.
What happened to Kavadh after his rule? What were the conditions of Kavadh’s return to the Persian throne after being locked away in the fortress of oblivion?
Kavadh was imprisoned, but escaped to the hephthalites. With their support, he returned back to and overthrew his brother Zamasb, reclaimed the throne to resume his rule.
How did the war between the Romans and Persians end?
In 506 the Romans and Persians negotiated a treaty as the Persian rules of facing another invasion from the hephthalites.
How many times did the hephthalites defeat the Persians?
Three times which recorded as the worst defeat in Sassanian history.
