His land stretched from the Black Sea to northern Italy. Seeing the threat, Aetius got help from the Visigoths and Salians to fight the Hun leader.
What war strategy did Aetius use when he met Attila in June of 451?
Aetius and his Romans fought on one side, with Theodoric I and the Visigoths on the other. They trapped the enemies in the middle, preventing their escape. The strategy worked, and Attila was forced to retreat.
