Where does Symptoms occur?
In only one location but some people are susceptible to more serious allergic reaction to certain substances and symptoms affect more than one part of the body at the same time.
When does Anaphylaxis can occur?
Within minutes after exposure to the allergen.
What are some common triggers of Anaphylaxis?
Food, medications, stinging insects and latex.
Is Anaphylaxis inconsistent and unpredictable?
Yes.
A mild allergic reaction one time can?
Be life-threatening or severe the next.
What are the common symptoms of Anaphylaxis?
Redness of the skin, itchy hives, swelling of lips, tongue and eyes, shortness of breath, wheezing, diarrhea, dizziness, etc.
What does Anaphylaxis require?
Immediate medical treatment, including a prompt injection of epinephrine and a trip to the hospital ER.
