Panic Disorder
A mental disorder characterized by unwanted repetitive thoughts (obsessions) and actions (compulsions)
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
A completely irrational fear towards an object or situation where the individual only finds peace by avoiding the object
Phobia
Characterized by a disruption in consciousness, in which a person seems to experience a sudden loss of memory or change in identity , often as a response to overwhelmingly stressful circumstances
Dissociative Disorder
A dissociative Disorder in which two or more distinct identities are though to alternately control a person’s behavior , often as a result of severe trauma
Dissociative Identity Disorder
Characterized by Dysfunctional or disturbed eating habits
Eating Disorders
Involves the use of some substance to such an extreme extent that it disrupts the person’s ability to keep up with his or her responsibilities and relationships
Substance-Related and Addictive Disorders
A mental disorder characterized by a maladaptive pattern of behaviors and cognitions, which often impair the ability to interact successfully in the social environment
