Communist Manifesto
Written by Engels and Marx. The Communist Manifesto reflects an attempt to explain the goals of Communism, as well as the theory underlying this movement. It argues that class struggles, or the exploitation of one class by another, are the motivating force behind all historical developments.
Fauvism
An art movement that originated in Paris in which color was exaggerated in paintings for greater power and expression.

Revival of the Classical Greek and roman styles in the 18th century in art and architecture, as well as styles from the European Renaissance.
Rococo
The style of art, architecture, music, and decorative arts from early-eighteenth century Europe, made primarily for the upper class or aristocracy.
Ukiyuo-e
A kind of Japanese print or painting; “pictures of the floating world”.
