    ie. Fear of pain or physical exertion, self-consciousness

    ie. “Active and safe routes to school”, pressure government to increase funding for parks/ outdoor gyms

    ie. Offer subsidies for registration/yearly fees of low-income families and/or offer sports scholarships to children
  • > Cultural barriers
    ie. Address multiculturalism in sports, offer programs to provide info about sports and recreation to newcomers

    ie. Take the stairs, change your diet, reduce screen time
  • > Psychological barriers
    ie. work out in less competitive environment, find a form of PA that is fun
