elders have skills and training and experience, but leave more work for younger people to take care of them but they can watch over children, “grey economy” adds a new target audience
pro- and anti-natalist policies
where government attempts to control population, polciies include laws about contraception and abortion and sterilization with pro natalist and antinatalist views
anti-trafficking policies
increase public awareness and design policies but a mutligobernmental response is needed
demographic dividend
occurs when fertility rates declines, alllowing faster economic growth, the lag between fallling death rates and falling fertilit produces a bulge in population that surges thru age groups, demographic dividend’s “bugle” increases dependancey ratio, ex, dependancy ratio drops bc of low fertility and short life expectancies, so fewer younger and older dependances, and most is productive working people which leads to demographic dividend
