- Warmth mild swelling and tenderness

- Malaise (general discomfort) and fever

Treatment Principles for infections (4)
A
- Hot soaks 20-30 mins several times daily
- clean wound following hot soak
- Pack wound open to allow drainage
- Antibiotic and fever reducing therapy

Evacuation guidelines
A
- Evacuate a if there is no response to treatment with in 12-24 hours.
- Rapidly Evacuate patient with any signs and symptoms of severe shock.
