A
- Brief change in LOR
- Temporarily blurred vision seeing stars
- Nausea, isolated vomiting
- Headache, dizziness and lethargy
- Personality changes, emotionally libile(unstable)
- Amnesia

Treatment Principles for mild head injury. (2)
A
- monitor patient for symptoms for signs of severe head injury.
- Let patient rest, wake them up every few hours to check LOR. patients with concussions needs rest for at least 24 hours.

- Pupils:

- worsening headache, visions disturbances, protracted vomiting, lethargy, excessive sleepiness, ataxia and seizures.
- LOR: disoriented, irritable, combative or unresponsive.
- H.R decreases and bounds
- R.R Hyperventilation irritate respiration
- SCTM: Warm and flushed
- BP: increases and pulse pressure widens
- Pupils: unequal

Signs and Symptoms of a Skull Fracture(4)
A
- depression in the skull or a visible crack beneath a laceration avulsion.
- Fluid and or blood leaking from ears or nose.
- Open head injury
- Bruising around the eyes(raccoon eyes) Bruising around the ears(battles sign)

Treatment principles for serious head injury /skull fracture (5)
A
- Manage airway. breathing and circulation. consider placing patient on their side
- Control the hemorrhage with diffused pressure with bulky pressing.
- Administer oxygen if available.
- Protect the spine and elevate the head 8”
- Evaluate immediately
