- Technical direction: oversees the policies and procedures for safety and effective patient care. * Technical direction can be provided by a physician, RRT, or even an RN*

Credentialing: Recognizing someone in a particular occupation or profession
Licensure: Process a government agency gives an individual permission to practice an occupation
