What is the CVCS Makeup water subsystem?
Proides pure RX makeup water and borated refueling water to compensate for leakage.
Where can the RX Makeup Water Tansk send nonborated water to?
Gas stripper, liquid radwaste evap, boric acid concentrator, solid radwaste for resin xfrs, charging pumps for seal lube, CVCS chemical add tank, RDT, EDT, VCT, charging pumps suct, RWT, and CVCS HUT.
Where does the high suction line on the RWT send borated water to?
Through BAMP to SFP to the SFP cleanup subsystem, Through Boric acid filter to blending tee to CVCS charging/letdown system to VCT or charging pump suction.
How is the RWT connected to safety injection?
Two 20” line provide water from the RWT to the SI pumps (HPSI, LPSI, and CS)

What is the blending tee?
Combines nonborated water from the RMWT and borated water from RWT to charging pumps. The changes take about 20 mins to see in the VCT.

CPs rated at 165gpm, power from NH, 1 normally running 1 in standby. Only one pump can run at a time. They trip on lo-lo level and lo discharge pressure.
What is the purpose of the Reactor Makeup Water Recirculation Valve?
Opens to allow recirc of Rx Makeup Water back to RMWT at low dilution flows <20gpm. Closes to provide full dilution flow at hi demands when providing makeup water to the VCT.
