CH. 7 NOTES Flashcards
Exterior and interior angles make
Linear pairs aka 180
Convex polygon
Interior angles are less than 180
Concave polygon
At least one interior angle is greater than 180
Regular polygon
All angles and sides are congruent
You can find the number of triangles inside by
Putting dot in middle and seeing how many triangles were in the shape
Polygon interior angles thereom
The sum of the measure’s of the interior angles of a convex n - gon is
- interior angle measures + x = (n-2)180= answer ( sum of interior angles(
- n = sides
Polygon exterior angles thereom
The sum of the measure’s of the exterior angles of a convex polygon, are angle at each vertex is 360
Angle measures + x = 360
Given a regular pentagon, what is the value of one exterior angle
Sides: 5
Exterior: 360
360/5 = 72
Rectangle diagonals thereom
A parallelogram is a rectangle if and only if it’s diagonals are congruent
