Combined oral contraceptive (COCP), Used in tx of PMDD. Formulated with newer type of estrogen (drospirenone) that have been known to cause 7x the risk of stroke as older COCP’s. Approved for tx of acne.
Plan B
Emergency contraceptive. “Morning after pill”

Depo-Provera
medroxyprogesterone. Monthyl, injectable, non-oral contraceptive.
Ortho evra
non- oral contraceptive that is a transdermal skin patch.

Vaginal ring that is non-oral contraceptive

Is silicone implants that are placed under the skin that emit progestin that is good for 3 years.
Mifeprex
mifepristone or RU-486 is a potent antiprogressive drug that causes powerful uterine contractions. Cause a medical abortion

Tx of PMDD. benzodiazepine

anti-depressant used in tx of PMDD.

conjugated estrogens from equine sources. Used in postmenopausal estrogen replacement. aka HRT (hormonal replacement therapy) and in prevention of osteoporosis.
