shock
failure of the circulatory system to maintain adequate blood flow to tissues.
stroke volume
the volume of blood pumped out of the heart’s left ventricle per contraction.
tachycardia
a heart rate greater than 100 beats per minute in adults.
tachypnea
respirations greater than 20 breaths per minute in adults
