Cervical nerves and hypaxial muscles Flashcards
scalenus action
inspriation
serratus dorsalis cranialis action
lifts ribs for inspiration
serratus dorsalis caudalis action
draws ribs caudally in expiration
external intercostal fiber direction
caudoventrally from caudal border of one rib to the cranial border of another rib
external intercostal action
inspiration and expiration
internal intercostal action
inspiration and expiration
internal intercostal fiber direction
cranioventrally from cranial border of one rib to the causal border of another rib
linea alba
midventral raphe tat consist of fused thoracolumbar fascia and aponeurosis of abdominal walls; extends from xiphoid process to symphysis pelvis
action rectus abdominus
flex
cervical nerve 2
from the wing of the atlas and emerges between cleidomastoidius and omotransversarius, divides into 2 parts
greater auricular nerve
cervical nerve 2, extends toward the ear
transverse cervical nerve
cervical nerve 2 branches toward the skin of the cranioventral a part of the neck
cervical spine 3-5
found underneath the omotransversarius and pass through the deep fascia, from the intervertebral foramina, go to skin and muscle
accessory nerve
cranial nerve, comes from the brain to the trapezius, crosses CN 2 and runs dorsally along omotransversarius, motor nerve
vagisympathetic nerve trunk
contains vagus nerve (CN X, descending) and sympathetic nerve fibers system (ascending)
