How do dilated and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy differ?
A
Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is DIASTOLIC dysfunction, there is impaired compliance of the LV, myocardial hypertrophy, normal or high ejection fraction.
Dilated cardiomyopathy is SYSTOLIC dysfunction, there is impaired contractility, and reduced ejection fraction.
