effects of burn injury (complications)

A
  1. shock - low BP ( H2O in tissues)
  2. resp complcations - if you get eschar on torso … really bad
  3. pain
  4. infection - no barriers for protection
  5. metabolism - increase BMR, require increase nutrition and person requires a lot of maintenance

  • scar tissue formed by burns - wrinkly, shinny, hairless

- it shrinks - problem so you need to have an escharotomy
