Q

What should you do if a Sailor arrives at a command without the proper NEC assigned for the billet he/she is supposed to head into?

A

Do not gain the Sailor until resolved. May need to transfer to TPU or request OrdMod to I-Stop at command instead of gain:
– Notify the appropriate PERS-4013 placement officer for DNEC change or removal
– Move the Sailor to a different billet if he has a NEC that is shown as a need (INEC below
BA). Sailor can be used to fill that requirement though it may affect fit/fill
– Request to retain the Sailor
