absorb liquid from the intestines and swell to create a soft bulky stool, increase of faecal mass stimulates peristalsis in the intestine and distends the bowel to initiate reflex bowel activity

abdominal cramps, flatulence, bloating, nausea, dehydration

may take a few days to develop full effect. don’t take before bed. need to maintain/increase fluid intake to avoid obstruction
