episodes of binge eating following by intentional vomiting or other purgative behaviours such as the use of laxatives or diuretics or exercising

A
- recurrent binge eating
- sense of lack of control
- purge compensatory behaviour
- behaviours occur at least once a week for 3 months
- influenced by body shape and weight
- disturbance does not just have to occur during behaviours
