what is the key differentiation between hypomania and mania?
psychotic symptoms (e.g. delusions of grandeur or auditory hallucinations) = mania
what is the mood stabiliser of choice in bipolar disorder?
lithium
what is the acute management of mania/hypomania?
- stop antidepressant
- start antipsychotic (e.g. olanzapine or haloperidol)
