Steps to take Blood pressure:

  1. Patient seated/laying
  2. Roll sleeve
  3. Supplies
  4. Place cuff lined up w/ palpate pulse
  5. Stethoscope ears, diaphragm on artery
  6. Tighten thumbscrew pressure valve
  7. Pump bulb to 20 mm Hg above last beat heard
  8. Release thumbscrew
  9. Measure when 1st beat and last beat are heard
  10. Clean ear pieces
