What are features of Seborrhoeic Keratosis?
Benign warty lesions which develop as we age
Flat or raised lesions with stuck on appearance
Can appear in groups e.g. under breast/in groin/across back
What is the management of seborrhoeic keratosis?
Reassurance
Can have biopsied/removed if needed
What are features of solar lentigo?
Benign patch of pigmented skin which occurs due to sun exposure
Flat well circumscribed patch of hyperpigmentation
Often occurs on sun exposed sites
What are features of keratocanthoma?
Rapidly growing locally destructive epithelial tumour
Initially smooth dome shaped nodule on sun exposed sites undergoes rapid growth
Characterised as a central hyperkeratotic plug
Surgically remove due to local invasion and cannot distinguish from SCC
What are features of dermatofibroma?
Benign fibrous nodule
Often occurs post injury- e.g. gardners and thorn injuries
Solitary firm nodule
Pink/light brown in colour
Overlying skin dimples- button hole sign
