How does a lap band work?
A
Band around the fundus of the stomach to create a pocket in the top of the stomach - feeling of satiety earlier
Causes a behavioural change only - no change in absorption

How do sleave gastrectomies work?
A
Place a large bore boogey into the stomach, staple along it and then remove the boogie
