A
Pitch is the note at which a word or syllable is spoken. It provides emphasis to the phrase.

- Small pauses are necessary to separate thoughts and sentences
- Larger pauses work well between major ideas and give the audience time to think

- If you say, “we do not know,” you can use a shoulder shrug to visualize it
