seizure in bulimic pt.

A

MOA
Alpha2 antagonist (increase NE and serotonin)
Potent 5HT2 and 5HT3 antagonist

Toxicity: sedation (desirable in depressed with insomnia),
increase appetite, thus
weight gain (desirable in elderly or anorexic)
dry mouth

A

MOA: Blocks NE reuptake

Toxicity: sedation, orthostatic HTN

Used for insomnia, as high doses are needed for antidepressant effects

Toxicity: sedation, nausea, PRIAPISM, postural hypotension
