The revolution meant men going off to fight so women had to step in to fill the jobs and roles they left behind. women also fought alongside men in battle or as nurses. after the revolution they found it hard to return to their sexist roles in society. many women spoke out about equality and education but that kind of change didn’t come about for much later.
