Smoking (lowers HDL)
Anorexia
Dysmetabolism Causing Dyslipidemia
Hypothyroidism
Diabetes
Pregnancy

Chronic renal failure
Nephrotic syndrome

Eruptive Xanthoma
Little papules that appear all over the body that is often associated with elevated levels of triglycerides.
Lipid Metabolism in DM2
Decreased lipoprotein lipase activity
Leads to a decreased clearance of VLDLs and reduces the cascades through IDL to LDL
