Definition of an Antepartum Haemorrhage?
A
Any bleeding that occurs 20wks gestation or above

Possible causes of APH?
A
- Placental abruption
- Placenta praevia
- Vasa Praevia

A wahine at 10 weeks gestation calls to inform you she has had some bleeding like a period and really bad cramps what would your actions be?
A
- Honest up front inform her that this could be the pregnancy passing.
- Things to except what to look out for
- USS if indicated to ensure products of conception have expelled

A Wahine at 32weeks has some spotting. She has had a well health pregnancy has had GFM. No cramps, sore back what is your plan?
A
- Primary assessment - CTG/Asscultation
- Obs
- Bloods if indicated CBC,
Ferritin
- Consult as per guidelines
