What technical specification governs PCS leaks?

T.S. 3.4.13, PCS Operational LEAKAGE

PCS operational LEAKAGE shall be limited to:

• No pressure boundary LEAKAGE;
• 1 gpm unidentified LEAKAGE;
• 10 gpm identified LEAKAGE; and
• 150 gallons per day primary to secondary LEAKAGE through any one steam generator (SG).

Applicable in Modes 1-4

What technical specification covers PCS Iodine testing?

Answer 2

T.S. 3.4.16 The specific activity of the primary coolant shall be within limits.

Applicable in MODES 1 and 2, MODE 3 with PCS average temperature (Tave) ≥ 500°F.

S.R. 3.4.16 Verify primary coolant DOSE EQUIVALENT I-131
specific activity ≤ 1.0 μCi/gm.

• Once every 14 days and
• Once between 2 and 6 hours after THERMAL POWER change of ≥ 15% RTP within a 1 hour period
