What is the purpose of AOP-7?

Answer 1

Used when a rapid power reduction is dictated by abnormal plant conditions. A rapid (emergency) power reduction is performed at greater than the maximum normal rate of 30%/hour.

Power reduction less than or equal to 30% power is performed in accordance with GOP-8, “Power Reduction and Plant Shutdown to Mode 2 or Mode 3 >=525F.”

• When directed by another abnormal operating procedure.
• CRS determines that abnormal plant conditions requires immediate power reduction at a rate greater than 30%/hour and less than or equal to 300%/hour.

Pressurizer level less than 30%
