AO210: AHS Medical Support To ARSOF Flashcards
6 principles of AHS
1) continuity
2) conformity
3) control
4) flexibility
5) mobility
6) proximity
SOF Truths
- humans more important than hardware
- quality better than quantity
- SOF cannot be mass produced or created after emergencies occur
- most SOF ops require non-SOF assistance
Organization of SOF
US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) is comprised of 5 commands:
1) US Army Special Ops Command (Fort Bragg): Rangers, SF, Aviation, MISO, CA
2) Naval Special Warfare Command (Coronado, CA): Seal teams, Special Boat teams, etc.
3) Air Force Special Ops Command (Hurlburt AFB, FL): aviation-fixed wing and rotary wing special tactics
4) Marine Corps Special Ops Command (Camp Lejeune): marine special ops companies, etc.
5) Joint Special Ops Command (Fort Bragg): joint standing development, training, and exercises

Medlog in ARSOF
Use conventional forces MEDLOG system to satisfy its requirements
Medical mission command within ARSOF
There are no medical mission command structures within ARSOF. The control of AHS assets within ARSOF remains with the ARSOF commander
Conventional vs. SOF AHS support
The unique organization of ARSOF units, the diversity of missions (often covert or clandestine in nature), and the limited number of assets (personnel and equipment) dictate the differences between AHS for conventional and ARSOF units
