antiplatelets Flashcards

1
Q

ADP Inhibitor(irreversible)

A

Clopidogrel(PRODRUG), ticlopidine, prasugrel

AA: bleeding, neutropenia, TTP, itch. INT: PPIs reduce effectiveness.

Q

Phosphodiesterase-3 Inhibitors:

A

increase levels of cAMP, inhibiting aggregation of platelets. Reversible inhibitors of PDE-3. Not as strong of ADP inhibitors. Can maybe also increase adenosine levels which helps with the aggregation shit. VASORELAXATION AT HIGH DOSES.
Cilostazol, dipyridamole: cilo can have dd interactions, dipyri is pH dependent.
