- religious ceremonies and intructions –> abrahamic religions give humans dominion over the earth and animals (human tradition)
- humans are naturally omnivores
- animals eat eachother so we can eat them (food chain)
- delicious :(

- meets uk demands
- not weather dependent
- chicken is widely available and cheap –> meets high demand quickly
- supports the british economy
- less resources needed (eg space)
- provides alot of jobs in the factory

- antibiotic resistance
- animal welfare + QOL
- wasted meat
- disease can spread easily and quickly
- free range has better qual
- demand is too high and needs to be reduced by raising prices (could hurt economy)
- environmental implications (co2, methane, grain, animal feed, grazing land)

A
- transplantation of an organ tissue/cells between two different species
- solid organ transplant, cellular/tissue transplants on external therapies (filtering blood cells)
- human animal hybrid (human and non human cell grow)

A
- pig heart valves instead of heart valve
- need to genetically modify pigs to use them as donors
