A

Competitively block binding of angiotensin II to type 1 angiotensin (AT1) receptors.

They reduce angiotensin II-induced vasoconstriction, sodium reabsorption and aldosterone release. They also reduce the effect of angiotensin II on sympathetic nervous activity and growth factors
