what is angina?
A
-symptomatic myocardial ischaemia

symptoms of stable angina?
A
- predictable pain on exertion (goes away after 5 mins)
- breathlessness
- central chest tightness can radiate to jaw/chest/neck/shoulders/arm
- nausea

difference between stable and unstable angina?
A
-unstable is increased in frequency/severity of pain to progressively little exertion

what is angina decubitis?
A
-angina worse when lying flat

what investigations are taken place for angina?
A
ECG

what will ECG show for angina?
A
-ST depression
or
-flat/inverted T waves

treatment for stable angina?
A
- BB (atenolol/bisoprolol)
- rate limiting CCB (diltziam/verapamil)
- Trial other drugs: isorbide mononitrate/GTN patch, nicorondil, ivabradine
- Ranolazine
- Revascularisation
