what is brugada syndrome?
A
-genetic disorder due to sodium channel mutation

what causes brugada syndorme?
A
Caused by autosomal dominant mutation affecting mainly males
Triggers such as:
- sleep/rest
- fever
- large meals
- excessive alcohol

what would be seen on an ECG for brugada syndrome?
A
- RBBB and ST segment elevation in V1-V3
- may have AF or polymorphic VT

treatment for Brugada syndrome?
A
- Avoidance of triggers
- ICD if ventricular arrhythmia/new changes on ECG/syncope

symptoms of Brugada syndrome?
A
- seizures
- syncope/ pre syncope
- palpitaitons
- chest pain
- breathlessness
