What are the three body planes?
sagittal, transverse, frontal (coronal)
What is the axial portion?
head, neck, trunk, spine
What is the appendicular portion?
arms and legs
What is the midsagittal plane?
separates the body into equal right and left halves
What is the sagittal plane?
separates the body into unequal right and left halves
What is the frontal/coronal plane?
vertical plane that separates the body into anterior and posterior (back and front) sections
What is the transverse plane?
divides the body in superior and inferior (top and bottom) portions
