Single engine prop 12,500 lbs or less, OR any helicopter
What is a category II aircraft?
Twin engine prop 12,500 lbs or less
What is a category III aircraft?
Any aircraft not category I or II (All jets, or 3 or more engines, or over 12,500 lbs.
What are the wight break points for small, large, and heavy aircraft?
Small - 41,000 lbs or less
Large - over 41,000 but less than 300,000
Heavy - 300,000 lbs
What type weight are the weight categories based on?
Maximum certified takeoff weight
