what is agenesis of the liver?
A
rare condition in which part or all of the liver fails to develop. Agenesis can also occur in individual lobes of the liver

what are symptoms of liver agenesis
A
- If only part of the liver is missing, the patient will be asymptomatic
- If the entire liver has failed to formed, incompatible with life

what will occur to other lobes if agenesis occurs?
A
•If some lobes of the liver fail to form, it will cause hypertrophy of the other lobes to compensate for the agenesis

what are differential diagnosis of agenesis
A
- Hepatectomy
* Severe Atrophy of involved lobe
