Can control up to 15 standard missiles at once (6 must be Command All the Way)
Command All the Way (CAW) - Utilizes SPY to provide homing for SM2 when FCS is unavailable

What is the Purpose of C&D?
Correlate and Evaluate data from various radars and sensors to effectively employ various weapon systems.
C&D Equipment
1) Mission Critical Enclosure
- House the computers that run AEGIS
- Total of 12 MCE’s
- MCE1 is cooled by Sonar skid and 2 - 12 are cooled by C&D skid
2) AEGIS LAN Interconnections System (ALIS)
- Backbone of AEGIS. 4 routers and 2 switches
What is AEGIS Display System?
To give graphical representation to the tactical picture
What is Weapon Control System?
- Calculates the Fire Control Solution
- Determines the best weapon for a threat
- Make weapon handover from AEGIS
- Gives recommendations on kill evaluation after missile intercept
What is AN/SPY-1D(V) Radar?
Operation:
- Primary fire control radar
- Primary air search radar
- 3D and provides range, bearing and altitude
- 256 NM search range
- 512 NM track range
- 120,000 Ft altitude
Equipment:
1) Control Group
- Houses Computers
2) Signal Processor Group (SIGPRO)
- Converts signals from digital to analog
3) Transmitter Group
- Amplifies signals provided from SIGPRO
4) Antenna Group
- Transmits and receives radiation signals
5) Auxiliary Group
- Cools SPY/FCS and provides Electronic Dry Air to waveguides
What is the MK 99 Fire Control System?
Purpose:
- Provides terminal homing to the SM-2 missile while in its last 6 to 10 seconds of flight
Equipment:
1) MK-15 Data Converter Cabinet
- Provides command signals to the MK200
2) MK-200 Director COntroller tells the director where to point the SPG-62 dishes
3) T-1348 Transmitter Cabinet amplifies signal for radiation out of the illuminator
What is Operational Readiness Testing System?
Purpose:
- To monitor and test elements of AEGIS
Equipment:
- 2 Servers
- 3 Remotes
What is AEGIS Combat Training System?
Purpose:
- To provide a pre-recorded scenario to train watchstanders in CIC
Equipment:
- Located in CSER 2
What is Battle Force Tactical Trainer?
Purpose:
- Same as ACTS. To provide a tactical scenario to train CIC watch standers
Equipment:
- Located in CSER 3
What is Cooperative Engagement Capability?
Purpose:
- Provides real time data exchange between CEC capable ships
- Data is Fire Control Quality date.
- Provides Composite Identification

- Antenna Environmental Control Unit
- Phased Array Antenna Assemblies
What is Auxiliary?
Purpose:
- To provide cooling to various elements of AEGIS

- HD-1140A Spy Skid
- HD-1057 C&D Skid
- Air removal assemblies
- Dry air distribution panels
What is Air Cooled Solid State Frequency Converters?
Purpose:
- To provide a more stable and cleaner power signal to combat systems equipment

What is the ON-201 Interior Communication System?
Purpose:
- Provides tactical communications to all consoles and varying watch stations through the ship
