Actinic keratoses
A
- common premalignant (SCC) skin lesion
- develops as consequence of chronic sun exposure

Features of actinic keratoses
A
- small, crusty or scaly
- pink, red, brown, or same as skin
- found on sun-exposed areas (e.g. hands or temples)
- multiple lesions may be present

Management of actinic keratoses
A
prevent further sun damage
topical treatment:
- fluorouracil cream (2-3 weeks, red, inflamed skin)
- topical diclofenac (mild AKs, less side-effects)
- topical imiquimod
cryotherapy
curettage/cautery
