- precipitated by strep infection 2-4 weeks prior

A
- tear drop papules on trunk and limbs
- pink, scaly patches or plaques of psoriasis
- acute onset over days

Management of guttate psoriasis
A
- most cases resolve spontaneously within 2-3 months
- topical agents as per psoriasis
- UVB phototherapy
- no evidence for antibiotics to eradicate strep infection
