SCRAM Actions
IF the source of the Main Steam Line high radiation is suspected (or confirmed) to be fuel element failure and the radiation levels are sustained at greater than three times normal.
- ENTER 34AB-C71-001-2, AND SCRAM the reactor.
34AB-B21-003-2 Failure of SRVs
SCRAM Actions
IF SRV is stuck open (after attempting all other methods for closing):
ENTER 34AB-C71-001-2, AND SCRAM the reactor.

SCRAM Actions
Accumulator inoperable
a. IF Reactor pressure ≥900 psig AND CRD Charging header <940 psig AND Two or more withdrawn CR Accumulators INOP,
– w/in 20 min RESTORE charging water header press to ≥940 psig
OR
– SCRAM the reactor
b. IF Reactor pressure <900 psig AND CRD Charging header <940 psig AND One or more withdrawn CR Accumulators INOP,
THEN SCRAM the reactor

SCRAM Actions
Scram the reactor IF:
a. Any power
i) More than 1 CR is drifting or drifted out
ii) More than 4 (≥5) CRs mispositioned >1 notch
b. Less than LPSP (<21%)
i) 1 or more CRs drifting or drifted out

While in the RPI any of the follow:
• on any APRM
OR
• 2 or More LPRMs
- ≥5% AND Increasing Peak to peak Oscillations OR - Upscale OR Downscale alarms cycling on and off <3 seconds
At ANY point on the Power vs Flow Map exceeds 10% peak to peak Oscillations
• on any APRM
OR
• 2 or More LPRMs

Scram the reactor IF unable to maintain RWL between 10”-50” during normal power operation

SCRAM Actions
IF the decreasing trend cannot be stopped prior to any automatic action that could cause a scram or complicate continued operation – Scram the reactor
34AB-N62-001-2 Failure of Recombiner and Sustained Combustion in the Offgas System

IF hydrogen does not reduce to <4% and Main Condenser vacuum is approaching main turbine trip – Scram reactor

SCRAM Actions
IF reactor power is >5% and circ water cannot be restored – Scram the reactor

SCRAM Actions
Scram the Reactor IF (any of the following):
a. Total loss of PSW
b. Turbine Building inlet pressure <30 psig (back panel)
c. Indication of a major pipe break in turbine building
d. Either PSW division header pressure <50 psig

SCRAM Actions
SCRAM the reactor if any of the following conditions exist:
1. IF no RBCCW pumps can be started
2. IF only one RBCCW pump is running
OR
RBCCW flow cannot be re-established
OR
RBCCW suction temperature reaches 105°F
OR
Any temperature on Recirc System reaches its alarm setpoint

Scram the reactor IF either of the following occurs:
a. SCRAM VLV PILOT AIR HDR PRESS HIGH/LOW (603-131)
COINCIDENT with CRD HYD TEMP HIGH (603-140)
b. Scram pilot valve air header pressure ≤50 psig as indicated on 2C11-R013

• GROUP 1 SYSTEM A or B TRIP
• STEAM TUNNEL TEMPERATURE A or B HIGH

a. Reactor SCRAM may occur depending on Power Level
b. Loss of “C” Condensate and CBP
c. Loss of “B” RFPT due to loss of AC oil pumps
d. Loss of Cooling Pumps on BOTH ASDs (15min)
e. SCRAM the Reactor
Loss of 4160 D
f. Reactor scram could occur depending on Power Level
g. Loss of Condensate and CBPs “A” and “B”
h. SCRAM the Reactor
