A

A system of equations means that you have more than one equation. A linear system of equations means that the graphs of all of the equations in the system are lines.
• The number of times that the graphs of the lines intersect equals the number of solutions that the system of equations can have. For a system of two linear equations, the number of solutions can be zero, one, or infinitely many.
