  • When solving a trigonometric equation by factoring and then applying the Zero-Product Property, be sure to set the equation equal to 0 before factoring.
    • Remember, trigonometric functions are periodic. Therefore, trigonometric equations may have many solutions. To find all the solutions to a trigonometric equation, first find its solutions within a single period. Then add multiples of the function’s period to those solutions
