notes

A
  • A coefficient in the argument of a trig function changes the period of the function. To solve a trigonometric equation with a coefficient in the argument on some given interval, first multiply the given interval by the coefficient. Then solve the equation ignoring the coefficient on the new interval. Last, divide the solutions by the coefficient.
