2.9.3 Solving an Equation with Two Radicals Flashcards

1
Q

radical equation

A
  • Solving a radical equation generally means that we try to isolate the radical and square the equation so that the radical
    disappears.
    • When an equation has two radicals, you will have to do the isolating and squaring process twice in order to eliminate the
    radicals.
    • Once you have solved your non-radicalized equation, be sure to check your answers to see if both, one, or neither is a true
solution for the original radical equation.
