- An angle of depression is the angle formed by looking straight out to the horizon and then looking down at an object.
• An angle of elevation is the angle formed by looking straight out to the horizon and then looking up at an object.
• The angle of depression looking down from a height to a location is the same as the angle of elevation looking up from
that location to that height.
