What are PD functional problems?

Gait abnormalities (esp. when turning)
Scissoring
Dyskinesia (uncontrolled movement from medication; On/Off cycles)
What is MS?
Chronic progressive disease of CNS characterized by periods of exacerbation and remission
Demyelination and plaques attribute to slowed nerve conduction
MS Symptoms?
Vary greatly:
Sensory dysfunction (light touch, temperature, motor dysfunction)
Urinary urgency
MS Functional Problems?
Heat sensitivity
Fatigue
Relapsing-Remitting MS
MS where symptoms fare and remiss
Primary Progressive MS
Neuro functions steadily worsen
Secondary Progressive MS
Relapsing/Remitting MS progresses to Primary Progressive MS
